communication practices that reduce crises and strengthen collaboration with families and
supervisors. The training emphasizes compassionate, culturally responsive care and equips direct support professionals with tools they can implement immediately.

DeTerrence Allen, MS, BCBA, is the Executive Director and Co‑Owner of A & D Behavioral Solutions, a multi‑state behavioral health organization serving individuals across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama. He provides ongoing consultation for the University of Memphis TigerLIFE Program, a postsecondary initiative supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in developing independent living, vocational, and social skills. In this role, he supports staff development, behavior support systems, and student success planning.
With more than a decade of experience training front‑line staff across home, school, clinic, and community settings, Mr. Allen specializes in developing compassionate, culturally responsive, and audit‑ready clinical systems that strengthen service delivery and empower practitioners. His work centers on dignity‑driven behavior support, sustainable workflows, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He is currently a doctoral candidate in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Memphis.
