10 Hours ASHA & ACE CEUs.
If any of these sound like you, you're in the right place. This court was built for you!
You're a BCBA who works alongside AAC users and have been figuring it out on your own.
You're an SLP supporting nonspeaking or minimally verbal students and want a clear roadmap from assessment to insurance to family training.
You leave most AAC trainings with more question than answers, and you're done with that.
Identify the sections that must be included in an evaluation report when applying for an insurance-funded speech-generating device.
Examine the role of motor planning in speech and language development and discuss how this applies to populations who use AAC.
Apply principles of motor learning to AAC design and review implementation strategies to enhance learner outcomes.
Be able to describe what vocabulary to choose for early learners who are new to aac.
Describe 2 of the complementary roles SLPs and BCBAs share in AAC intervention.
Identify 3 evidence-based AAC teaching strategies from both disciplines.
Describe 3 common AAC training implementation errors and what we can do instead.
Be able to describe the AAC alignment strategy.
Identify and apply 3 practical strategies to support AAC use across daily routines while addressing common classroom barriers.
Be able to apply principles of motor learning, and user-directed communication to select and justify an appropriate access method.
Evaluate cultural and linguistic bias in AAC assessment practices and implement culturally responsive, dynamic assessment strategies for CLD students.
Design culturally responsive AAC interventions that integrate family-centered practices and address the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse communicators.
Describe three core principles of AAC implementation (e.g., modeling, use of core vocabulary, device accessibility).
Be able to analyze the relationship between positioning, access method (direct touch, eye gaze, switch), and communication outcomes by identifying at least two factors that influence access efficiency and user agency in AAC systems.
In this course we discuss AAC assessment, collaboration around aac, the importance of motor planning, aac implementation, communication partner training, culturally responsive aac interventions and most current research on vocabulary selection and therapy strategies.

The course is fully asynchronous ,you can watch each module on your own time, pause, rewatch, and return to specific sections whenever you need them. There's no deadline for completion. Whether you work through it over a weekend or a few weeks, it moves at your pace
Yes to both. This course offers ASHA CEUs for speech-language pathologists and ACE CEUs for behavior analysts. After completing all module videos, you'll take a quiz at the end of the course. SLPs will fill out the ASHA form that pops up after you complete the quiz. BCBAs will fill out the evaluation the is under the last course video, they will receive a certificate with the ACE provider number to their email and will upload directly to the BACB portal.
That feedback is exactly why this course exists. One of our members said it directly: "I usually leave AAC courses still not knowing how to get started." Every module in this course ends with a practical next-steps checklist so you leave each session with a concrete action not just information. You'll also receive therapy materials, note sheets, and a handout guide that you can bring directly to your students, team meetings, and parent conversations.
Absolutely. The course covers school-based AAC through multiple lenses including IEP documentation, legal requirements under IDEA, culturally responsive practice for diverse school populations, communication partner training for paraprofessionals and classroom staff, and how to advocate for your students when team members push back. Whether you're in a self-contained classroom, an inclusion setting, or a school-based therapy room, the content was designed with you in mind.
Yes an entire module is dedicated to funding and device procurement, presented by specialists from Cicero Therapies Network. You'll learn how to complete a feature matching profile, what insurance reviewers are actually looking for in an SGD report, how to rule out alternative options in a way that holds up to scrutiny, and what to do when you receive a denial. If insurance funding has felt like a dead end, this module will change that.
You get access to all 10 hours of content featuring 11 expert presenters, a course guide and note sheet for every module, planning checklists and therapy materials you can use immediately, and your CEU certificate upon completing the quiz. Everything is yours to return to the course doesn't disappear after a set window.
